Issues such as family conflicts, gender inequality, domestic and public violence, and drug abuse persist, putting young people at risk.
To combat this, we conduct community and school-based health campaigns to promote awareness of adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights. These initiatives aim to empower teenagers with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their health and futures.
In the Kacyiru sector of Gasabo District, Kigali, we have already begun training teenagers from vulnerable and moderate families on sexual and reproductive health and rights. By equipping them with essential information and fostering open conversations, we aim to reduce teen pregnancies, prevent abuse, and promote gender equality.
Through these efforts, Urusaro Women of Change is committed to creating a safer, healthier, and more informed generation of young people who can confidently navigate their lives and contribute positively to their communities.
